Graywater reuse is one of the most important and most under-utilized water conservation strategies in our toolbox. Graywater is like vitamin water for plants - they love it! Apply it in residential yards, orchards, public parks, and any scale of green scapes that are not producing root vegetable and low-lying edibles.

With drought an imperative challenge in many places of the world, graywater is a win-win for the environment and for the people using it. In places where space is of the essence, graywater is also advantageous in that it is a year-round supply that needs very little storage. Laundry to landscape systems using gravity to disperse the effluent through the landscape often need only to let local agencies know and are encouraged as an alternative to xeriscaping. Although xeriscaping reduces irrigation, it also reduces necessary habitat for pollinators and important fauna during dry times when shade and food sources are of utmost importance to their survival. Graywater systems can be integrated into most new projects and remodels!
